Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, and other accounting duties as needed for multiple companies.  The ideal candidate will be interested in learning about several different industries and is looking for career advancement.      

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Prepare journal entries
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
• Assist with financial reviews
• Help with budget preparation
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations
• Assist with other accounting projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or 2-4 years of relevant experience
• CPA certification or in the process of obtaining CPA certification is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
