Sycamore Reserve Senior Living is a five star independent senior community serving gourmet meals all day. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The Sous Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including meal preparation, menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong desire to create delicious and nutritious meals for our residents.

Responsibilities: 1. Planning and overseeing daily meal preparation to ensure high quality and timely service. 2. Menu planning and development to offer a variety of nutritious and appetizing dishes. 3. Supervise kitchen staff, providing direction and guidance as needed to maintain a smooth and efficient operation. 4. Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure a well-stocked kitchen. 5. Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. 6. Assist with special events, catering services, and other culinary projects as needed. 7. Train and mentor culinary staff to promote growth and development within the kitchen team.

Qualifications: 

1. Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a commercial kitchen setting. 2. Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred.

3. Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

 4. Excellent communication and leadership skills. 

 5. Ability to work well alone in the kitchen. 

 6. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. 

 7. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals for seniors.

8. Availability to work 40 hours per week guaranteed, 10 hours per day, 4 days per week including Weekends and holidays. 40 plus hours a week guaran. Hours between 9 am and 7 pm so home at night.

We offer:

Excellent compensation $25.00/hr.
